Best 17" semi-gaming notebook?

Hi!

I'm looking to replace my current Dell Inspiron 9300 which is 5 years old.
I loved it but it's getting old.
It's a 1900 x 1200 (I like more pixels and tiny icons/font).
Budget isn't a big concern but I don't want to go crazy paying $3k.
Somewhere in the $1500 to $2000 seems fine plus or minus a few hundred.

Thank you very much for helping me find my next laptop!
