ssd and pagefile.sys

You guys have SSD, do you turn off/limit size of pagefile.sys for virtual memory? i have 8GB of physical memory in x201, 7.8 usable.
when i restrict the virtual memory, now it goes to 6.87gb usable, i think due to the reserved hardware space.
So my question is: should I let system manage my pagefile? it seems to be really big (7GB last time before I restrict it 2gb max) and it can wear down our ssd?
