Looking for Laptop

Purchasing a new laptop for Christmas on boxing day most likely, I was looking at the Pavillion series because I like the design and the metal they are made of.
Although I heard they have terrible over heating issues which puts me off immediately.

Are there other laptops similar to that series as far as specifications go, that also have a fingerprint resistant material such as matte or metal etc.
I have a budget of 2400 AUS
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks!
