Received my DV6 tonight.
It is far too early for me to identify any "returnable" problem with the DV6.
However, my fears were not put to rest right away as I had hoped, and this machine is indeed quite large.
So my question is this.
My DV6 is in my sig, if I could get pretty much an identical setup in the DM4, save for the fact it would be limited to an ATI 5470 512mb...
Here's the thing, I am leaning more and more away from gaming on my laptop when I move, and what I really need is the ability to work in Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, really the entire Adobe suite (though rarely video work, but it is possible).
Is the video going to make much difference here?
My key concern with the DV6 is size.
I would have gone Envy except for battery life is a huge concern (and lack of coupon), and I am hoping to get more battery life here out of the DV6 than an Envy (if only because the 9-cell is available for the DV6, which I got along with a 6-cell).
Basically if you took a sliding scale from NETBOOK ---------- DESKTOP REPLACEMENT...
I am wondering if I do not want one more notch towards netbook from the DV6 .
Again, way too early to tell.
But I want to do my thinking now, so that when I can tell, I am ready (as return period is understandably limited).
I would like to stay with HP as I am fairly impressed with my DV6 and have no intention of abusing their return policy, but if there is something else that is a way better fit let me know, but I have done a ton of research and I don't think so!
PS ...
Do computers not give battery estimates any more? Or do I need to wait to drop below 100% to get an estimate?
